Siamwala
Rukaiya Siamwala - Writer. Dreamer. Thinker.
Rukaiya is currently based in London where she is pursuing her dream Masters; MA in Creative Writing at the University of Westminster. Her interests are scattered amongst the various spaces of art, craft, dance, urban photography, cinema, theatre, culture, history, politics, activism and aromatherapy.
She aims to create a niche for herself in the creative writing industry. Having recently dabbled in playwriting, she wrote her first play Ruqsana, a political, social and emotional commentary on a Muslim girl's life juxtaposed between the Godhra Riots and the Citizenship Amendment Act & National Register of Citizens in India. Currently, she is working on her second play.

In the creative spectrum, she hopes to explore the spaces of dance writing, art writing, food writing, music writing and travel writing as a means to actively participate in social movements.

Back at home, she began Zuri Essentials, a venture in organic beauty, bath products and aromatherapy. This was an exploration of the Indian scene of the beauty and health industries.

She has previously provided freelance writing and editing services in the spaces of academic writing, content writing, technical writing, and creative writing. For any freelance related queries, you can email her on rukaiyasiamwalawriting@gmail.com
